Information and Referral : 24/7 Helpline, Newsletter, Website

Support Groups: to provide an opportunity to meet regularly for mutual support and to exchange coping skills and information about specific caregiving challenges and solutions. The group provides the opportunity for participants to help maintain their
own health and well-being, and enhance their ability to care for the person with dementia.

Community Education : A variety of community education programs (15 minutes to 1 hour) on several different aspects of dementia are available for church or civic groups. For more information call Ellie Galloway at 804-695-9382.

Professional Training: Dementia specific training for professionals is provided and meets the requirements set by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Social Services.

Care Consultation: Family orientations to assist individuals with dementia and their families in planning for and dealing with dementia. Whether it is information, resources, or support, our goal is to help lessen the burden for caregivers. Respite scholarships of up to $750 can be used for direct care of an individual with dementia.
